Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent

Help! I'm almost out of Norwex Laundry Detergent! My kids hate when I use detergent from the store. Last time I ran out of the Ultra Power Plus, my nine year old told me to just leave her clothes dirty until I get the stuff that doesn't make her itchy! Lisa from Kouchibouguac, NB, CANADA

My mother-in-law has suffered from insomnia for many years. When she was educated about the toxic chemicals in the laundry products she was using, she immediately switched over to the Norwex laundry line. She started using the detergent, magnet ball and dryer balls and loved them right away because of how well they worked. Three months later she confided in me that her insomnia was gone and that it had went away the very first night she slept on her sheets and bedding laundered with the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent. She didn't want to tell me earlier because she wanted to make sure it didn't return and that it was indeed what she thought it was. Her so-called "clean" sheets had been keeping her awake all this time!

I am so impressed with the Norwex Laundry Detergent. My husband owns a small restaurant, so I do all the washing of his chef coats, dish cloths and linens at home. I have used many different products including bleach and can never really get things clean. I have been using the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent since June 2011 and I am so happy with the results! I used to have to throw out the dish cloths often because I could not get the grease out of them and therefore, they would develop an odd odour. Not anymore! I am able to use the Norwex detergent and am winning the battle with grease. I also feel better about not harming the environment! Adrienne from St Catharines, ON, CANADA

We decided to try the Norwex Laundry Detergent because my children have very sensitive skin and get red bumps on their arms legs and back. Since we have used Norwex Laundry Detergent my daughter no longer gets any red bumps and my son’s have diminished greatly. He calls it “his soap” and will not use any other laundry detergent and is sure to let me know as soon as it is getting low! Just after we had started using the detergent, my son, who at that time was 11 years old, got creosote (the stuff painted on the wood of telephone poles is like tar and oil and pitch all rolled into one ugly mess) on his favourite jacket. By the time I had arrived home from work he had washed and DRYED it twice and he was certain his jacket was ruined. He went onto the internet and printed out a picture and found the price to replace his jacket. I told him I would try the new detergent I had purchased at my first Norwex party. It was the Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent. I wet down the “creosote area” on the jacket, put a small amount of the powder laundry detergent on it and then used an antibac Enviro cloth and rubbed in little circles and saw the color of the creosote start to come off. I repeated it twice and then tossed it in the washer added 1/2 scoop of detergent and let it go through the cycle! When the wash was finished I was so thankful…it really was GONE!!! We love the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent and have been using it for 2 years!

My daughter’s asthma is much better now that we use Norwex Laundry Detergent and the Enviro Cloths to clean(she only had to use her asthma pumps once in the last month, when it used to be 4 times a day). After only one month of using the Norwex products, I am also no longer take my allergy pills. A thousand sincere thank you!

My cloth diapers had plenty of stains that had been there through months of washing and drying on high heat. One wash with Ultra Power Plus and most of the stains were gone! A second wash completely removed the few that were remaining! The diapers look like new and their absorbency is great.

Several Norwex Products

I just wanted to let you know that my oven is so clean now that, not only did my smoke detector not go off but, it’s so shiny I could see my reflection! Every time I bake in the oven, I open the door to grab my grub and that darn smoke detector goes off! The bottom of my stove was very black but I was avoiding cleaning it as the oven cleaner is quite harsh and I have to evacuate my apartment and use a painter’s mask to keep from inhaling the fumes. I sprayed the stove last night with the Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner and let it sit for a few hours. Then I used the Spririnette to scrub the oven and also used the Kitchen Scrub Cloth. Pretty much everything came off and I was able to rinse the scrub cloth completely clear of the black so it’s back to blue. I think that oven cleaner, Spirinette & Scrub cloth are worth their weight in gold. I baked some Spanakopita last night and had Connor ready with a dish towel standing underneath the smoke detector ready to fan the air when it went off but this was the first time it didn’t. Now that I have a clean oven, this shouldn’t be happening anymore. Now I don’t need to worry about inhaling those toxic fumes. Same goes for the enviro-cloth. I cleaned my bathrooms and kitchen in no time. The cleaning paste in the shower was great. Had to use a tooth brush because the grout between the tiles is quite porous but they came clean as well. It made cleaning my house fast. Thought you may want to have my testimonial for future parties. L.H.

Please Note: Below are the instructions for using Norwex Oven and Grill Cleaner. You will see that it says to spray on a warm surface and you only need to leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. I just wanted to clarify this in case you are reading the above and are not familiar with the product and think it needs to be left on for hours. It does not though some people have had success using it on non-preheated surfaces and leaving it on for longer periods.

1. Preheat oven to 100°F (38°C) and turn off before applying product.

Pre-heating the surface will energize the microbes and enzymes to work faster.

Be careful not to over heat the oven as the water based cleaner will simply evaporate on contact if you do.

2. Apply undiluted Oven and Grill Cleaner to top of oven first, then to the sides, and lastly to the bottom avoiding heating element(s).

3. Allow cleaner to work for 5-10 minutes.

If you've let it sit too long and it's dried, simply use a spray bottle with water and mist the surface again - it will make wiping up the mess much easier.

4. Wipe with damp Enviro Cloth and rinse thoroughly with potable water.

Stubborn deposits may require more than one application and a scrub with a Spirisponge, Spirinett or Kitchen Scrub Cloth.

5. After cleaning, heat oven to 200°F (95°C) for 10 minutes prior to use.

Cleaning Tupperware

Just to let you know, I have some Tupper wear that is over 30 years old and has been sitting around much of that time, since it is a pie holder. It was quite grungy (is that a word?) and it cleaned up very nice with Norwex kitchen scrub cloth and the enviro cloth and a bit of dishwashing liquid.

Cleaning Paste in the Kitchen Sink

I used the cleaning paste both like a paste and like a dry chalk. We just moved and the sink was gross. So here is a before and after.

Body Cloths

I just wanted to tell you how great the body cloths are. I've had rough patches on my knees (possibly eczema) that have not gone away even with daily lotions and some minor exfoliation. As soon as I started using the body cloths they've gone away! It's amazing. Also, my deodorant works the full 24 hours as advertised, and the same with my sisters! We all sweat a lot unfortunately, so the cloths have been a great addition to our body care. :0) Take care, D.

Dishwashing Liquid for Carpet Stain

This dishwashing liquid is amazing!!! I had some nasty stains on the carpet of my entry stairs and entrance of bedroom that wouldn't even come out with the bissell steamer and solution.

Dishwasher Detergent

A joke in our house is that our dog barks at the commercial dishwasher liquid bottle. He's okay until you open it and then he attacks the bottle and barks at it. He shies away from all those chemical cleaners actually but the dishwasher liquid is the funniest reaction. Our house is less entertaining now that I use the Norwex dishwasher powder. No more barking.

Enviro Cloth and Toilet Seal Wax

My husband was installing a new toilet a few weeks ago (he had to do it 3 times, but that's not part of the Norwex story!). The disgusting wax seal that seals the toilet drain smushes across the floor when you put a toilet on top. This is what it's supposed to do BUT, when you need to clean the floor when you're replacing the seal/toilet it's usually a nightmare. Norwex to the rescue! Paper towel didn't work. I gave the floor a couple of squirts with the toilet bowl cleaner (diluted in water) and the envirocloth wiped it up, cleaned the tile floor and voila ... no more wax! -

Enviro Cloth Removes Duct Tape Residue

The Norwex envirocloth wiped away 2 year old duct tape residue from my office window! Just a bit of rubbing but no scrapers involved! -

Norwex Spirinett

My mom recently fell in love with the spirinett because my brother had
burned her really nice Salad Master pot and turned it black! She tried
using the cleaner meant for the pot and using the enviro to clean it
which hardly made a difference. Then my mom thought of the spirinett!
She put a little bit of cleaning paste on it and cleaned the pot and
woala! The pot became like a new pot without a scratch on it! She
thought of using the spirinett because she used it once on the range
top, metal rim around the element , and it cleaned it like new without
scratching.

She was amazed that it didn't scratch her pot because the sales person
had told her to only use paper towels to clean it to prevent
scratching.

I'd like to note that this is something my mom had experienced and
that I hope others don't go and start cleaning all their pots with the
spirinett and scratch them! [Just in case...] =P

Oven and Grill Cleaner 3

We too had a similar experience. my husband couldn't believe how powerful the over and grill cleaner and the cleaning paste are. Our bbq came up SO nice!! I was dreading cleaning it. he LOVES the kitchen scrub cloth and that cloth worked great on the porcelain grill plates that had alot  of burnt oil/food on them. We were out of propane so he even cleaned the bbq while it was cold!! i should have taken before and after pictures! -- P.L. Bradley

Oven and Grill Cleaner 2

The oven cleaner works so well on the BBQ!

I highly recommend using one of your older enviro cloths to scrub away
the grime along with the oven cleaner -- I tried using old rags and
they just didn't do the job. It washed well afterward.. but it
definitely gets a little stained. -- Lori D.

Oven and Grill Cleaner

My father in law was kind enough to clean our barbeque with the Norwex
Cleaner after it had fallen over in a nasty wind storm...there was
grease everywhere! Before explaining the result, I'll also mention
that his business has required him to use every kind of chemical
imaginable for the last 15 years. He said that he was shocked that a
natural product could work so well EVEN compared to all these chemicals
that he has had contact with over the years. He had to buy his own
bottle to take home right away! -- Nadine M.

Norwex Dishwashing Liquid For Laundry Stains 2

I am constantly amazed at the power of the Norwex Dishwashing Liquid when I use it in with laundry! Today, it took fresh strawberry juice COMPLETELY out of little Lilly's cotton/linen WHITE capris!!! (NO pre-treating either!) I thought they would be ruined. I have always put a small squirt right in the washing machine since she was born and never had stains from formula or spit-up! If that's not proof of a great product, I don't know what is. I have recommended it to all my expectant and new mom friends.

Norwex Dishwashing Liquid For Laundry Stains 1

My son came back from camping and when he added his clothes to the wash, he said...OH Yah...this white polo shirt may need something extra to get the mud stains out (almost every area of the shirt had dry mud stains on it…collar, sleeves, front and back). I showed him how to put the NORWEX DISHWASHING LIQUID on spots waited a few minutes and noticed that the stains had started to come out already. We scrubbed a little and put the shirt in the wash. He was pleased to see that his white polo shirt came out good as new!!!

Cleaning is Easy

I just wanted to give you an update on the Norwex products that I ordered from you.....I LOVE THEM!! My husband and I can't stop cleaning!!!....and it doesn't feel like we're cleaning b/c it's so easy to pick up an antibacterial cloth and just wipe surfaces to make them shiny!!

The mop system is great too!! Very efficient!! We had a dinner party on Saturday evening and did a full once over of our place. After our guests left (around midnight).....we cleaned up right away, b/c we were so excited to get the house spick and span again!!

Thought you'd want to know that we are happy Norwex users!!

Optic Cloth

I have anti glare on my glasses. (Woops! haha I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use the Optic cloth.)
This is how I clean my glasses. I use a touch of dish soap with water and rub my lenses with my fingers. (This gets off any oil and dust.) After I rinse the lenses the water beads up on the lens and I gently tap the glasses to get off most of the water. Then I wipe the little drops of water with the Optic cloth, which by the way works fabulously! I have tried many different types of cloths and the Optic cloth works the best. This is hands downs the fastest, most efficient, and most reliable way to clean my lenses! No scratching and no streaking! I literally sigh with joy when I put my glasses back on. :) Good luck to you and your client.

Travel Pack Size Enviro Cloth

i recently got my teeth whitened for my upcoming wedding. not at a dentist but at a salon to save money. save money i did, but it left my gums very sore for a few days. i could not brush my teeth because it hurt my gums too much!! i thought, well it defeats the purpose of whitening them if i cant brush them after i eat to KEEP them white! i had to find some way!! so i started using a norwex cloth, one of the travel pack small ones to brush my teeth after every meal.

it works to shine our bathtubs, furniture, appliances, shoes, windows.. why not our teeth?! right? so i replaced my toothbrush for floss and a norwex cloth for a few days. it didnt hurt a bit and it got my teeth nice and shiny.

its a good idea for people that may have sensitive gums or mouths
but i think from now on, i will keep one just for that purpose in my purse for times when i dont have a toothbrush handy. to give myself a quick touch up after drinking tea or coffee or red wine..
there is just no end to the possibilies with this magic cloth :)

Magnet Ball

From a Norwex Consultant:

I was recently asked whether I focus on or promote the Magent Ball at my demos or not ~ I replied that I don’t generally talk about it unless someone specifically asks. I am always telling people that we have the softest water in North America where we live, so it’s not something that is generally needed ~ and I still believe that this is true. It is a pricey item, and most people want to get real bang for their buck, so will focus their spending on products that will do this ~ enviro cloths, laundry detergent, body cloths, etc.

HOWEVER, not long after we had this conversation, I decided that since I had a Magnet Ball rolling around in my Norwex kit that I should really give it a try.

I put the Magnet Ball in my dishwasher (bottom rack as described in the product guide, NOT on the top rack, as is shown in the product ~ an error I have pointed out to HO for correction) and began using ½ the dishwasher detergent I had been.

The results have been VERY impressive. My dishes never have sitting water on them any longer, and my glasses are noticeably shinier ~ even my husband noticed the difference and wanted to know what I had changed!

So, there is my testimonial. It’s a bit pricey at $42.99, but in the long run it would pay for itself in the other ½ of the dishwasher detergent I am not putting in the dispenser any longer. (I have a front-loader washing machine, so have no washing machine testimonial to share!) I do have friends that live in areas where the water is “hard” who use the magnet ball and absolutely love what it has done for their dishes!

The moral of my story is this: you can really only speak to how well Norwex products work if you TRY THEM!

Kitchen Scrub Cloth

Last Saturday I used the kitchen cloth (blue checkered one) to scrub down my plastic shower curtain - and it came out sparkling! I saved it from the landfill - yippee!

Fresh Wash

Just wanted to let you know about a great testimonial from my Sister-in-Law.....her Naturopathic Dr told her to wash all her fruits and veggies in a veggie wash and she recommended Norwex as being one of the better ones!!!!! Thot I'd pass it on!!!!

Silver

Here's your laugh for the day! And maybe a new use for "The Cloth"!

I tried an experiment with my blue antibac cloth and am not sure if I should have or not. I think I've ruined it.

Have you ever polished your silver with one. I did! Went to use my Silver at Christmas and realized it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. It was black. I took my cloth wet itwith warm water, wrung it out and polished my Silver cream & sugar, it took all the tarnish off it but my poor cloth was black and I haven't been able to get it back to it's original bright blue. It's pretty dingy. I've washed it with norwex laundry soap, and the kitchen dish soap and boiled it with each and it won't come clean. Any suggestions? Other than don't try it again!

It did an awesome job on the Silver so maybe I'll just keep it for that purpose only.

Beige Berber Wool Carpet

I have beige berber wool carpets upstairs and I've had great success getting spots out (even dark possible car grease spots) with water and an Enviro Cloth. I've used it on urine and feces (because let's face it I have two kids under 5 that track EVERYthing upstairs) with excellent results. I don't have the spot cleaner but haven't needed it yet.

Adele

30 Year Old Wool Carpet Stain

My Mom has wool carpets. While I was visiting her over Xmas, she said there was a stain on the carpet that had been there since we moved into the house in 1971 (ish?) that has always bothered her. She’s tried all sorts of carpet cleaners over the years to no avail.

I worked on these stains with water and an enviro cloth, and the stain is now barely perceptible. In fact, no one but my Mom would have noticed the original stain at all, as it was beneath the bed J haha … but, SHE knew it was there, and it bothered her, and she is happy that the stain is now, for all intents and purposes, gone. I’m sure that I could have removed even more of whatever had caused the stain, but its location was awkward to get to (underneath my Dad’s electric up-down bed that I could only move so far without breaking my back!!)

Our Enviro cloths are truly remarkable!

Carol

Oven and Grill Cleaner

I didn't realize how dirty the highest part of the bathroom walls were until I took my enviro cloth to them. It took some effort to clean the very candle smoked, textured, vinyl wall paper but the difference was staggering. Yes, I love to soak in the tub with candles around.

I was inspired Tuesday when we were hearing stories about the Oven cleaner being used for jobs other than the oven or grill.

It was 3:15 am and I couldn't sleep so I decided to try the oven spray on those grey walls. I sprayed a couple of shots and I saw the clean streaks before I even could get my cloth up there. I was shocked at the difference and how effortlessly the dirt wiped away. I had to leave some of it to show my husband in the morning, although I did get the worst part off. I'm still so excited that I had to share my little 'Fun Cleaning Story' with you.

No Smell or Damage to anything!

Take care, Valerie
